Galaxy is actively used in cloud computing.

BioUML team investigates Galaxy experience to apply it for next step of development of BioUML platform.

  • CloudMan - a cloud manager that orchestrates all of the steps required to provision a complete compute cluster environment on a cloud infrastructure.
  • BioBlend - a unified API in Python that wraps the functionality of Galaxy and CloudMan APIs.
  • BioCloudCentral - a web application that launches CloudBioLinux and CloudMan clusters on Amazon Web Services hardware.
  • CloudBioLinux - a build and deployment system which installs a large selection of Bioinformatics tools on a bare virtual machine (VM) image, freshly installed PC, or in the Cloud.
