Description
Sequence element represents nucleotide or amino acid sequence from many different sources including user-imported files (FASTA, EMBL, etc.), locally installed Ensembl database, remote DAS servers, etc. Usually you see a collection of sequences rather than individual sequence elements. For example, Ensembl database has a collection of chromosomes, user-imported FASTA file is a collection of individual sequences from this file and so on. Sequence can be opened in genome browser.
For user-imported EMBL file each individual sequence represents a collection, which contains a single track with feature table.
